MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original London “ffrr” Records very first Mono press released in Chile in 1962 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from Hi Records, USA, through London Records Inc., USA, catalog number DLM 17081, with machine etched matrix numbers RDHI 2164-7 S9 (“S” inverted) in Side A and RDDR 2165 S6 (“S” inverted) in Side B, with green/silver London “ffrr” Records labels and 4-prong push-out center!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Twist-Her” was originally released in November 1961 in USA and we had to wait until 1962 to see this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and additional information about licenses, tax law applicable in Chile, play time of each song and the original price, “E° 1,80”, printed in Side A. In the case you don’t know, Bill Black was the original bassist of the early hits by Elvis Presley and even the original Sun Records singles were credited to “Elvis Presley, Scotty And Bill”. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS of this single by Bill Black’s Combo, with GREEN LONDON RECORDS LABELS and Spanish-written song titles, a record almost never seen!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Bill Black’s Combo, Elvis Presley and early days of Rock’N’Roll music!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in very nice VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many soft scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect play at all, with the push-out center removed. Labels are in nice VG or VG+ condition both sides, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear, small tears, faint discoloration and moderate wear in the rim text, with part of the text deleted, with writings in Side A, hard to see at first sight. The sound is in strong EX- or even EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with occasional and mostly barely audible soft crackles here and there, which don’t cause major distraction from the still loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS with Spanish-written song titles, maybe not for strict Minty minds or audiophiles, but for sure it keeps a nice glossy look, not bad labels and great sound quality after about 60 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean single!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
