Description

Big Star - Radio City - 1974 U.S. Vinyl LP (Ardent, ADS-1501) - VERY NICE COPY - No Reserve.

Up for auction is a great copy of the original Big Star album on the Ardent label (Alex Chilton's band). Cover is in excellent minus condition...looks really great except for a teeny tiny bit of age wear (virtually no ring wear at all). Note that there is a tiny slit cut into the cover at the lower bottom left. Also, there is one very small spot/stain on the cover photo about 1" long by l/4" wide (minor...can be seen in photo). Record is in excellent condition overall with only a few (very, very few!) light surface marks and just a few light fingerprints that can be cleaned off. Record is graded visually. May have a bit of dust from being stored for so many years. Instead of cleaning or dusting, I will leave that to the new owner. Please see my notes (below) about how I have kept and/or stored my records for the past few decades...

Shipping within the U.S. is $4.00 (Media Rate with Delivery Confirmation). If you want your item shipped Priority Mail, shipping cost will be deteremined after the end of the auction. If you want an item double-boxed I will have to re-calculate the shipping cost after the auction ends. I do not charge a handling fee so you are paying only what it costs me to ship the item plus the cost of mailing materials. I do combine items for your best shipping rate (if you choose Media Rate the shipping rate for each additional LP is $1.00--if you choose Priority Mail, total shipping cost will be determined after the auctions end). Payment may be made through Paypal, by Money Order, or Cashier's Check. Payment MUST be received within 7 days. I do not insure items unless you request and pay for insurance. If you do not request insurance, you assume liability if your item(s) should become damaged or lost. Item is being sold as is.

A NOTE TO RECORD/VINYL COLLECTORS:

I will be auctioning off my extensive vinyl LP and vinyl 45 collection during the next two to three years. I have a lot of records...classic stuff as well as odd and obscure things...mainly from the 1960s and 1970s...and most of it is in remarkable condition. When I originally bought records, in many cases I played them once, twice, or three times (transferring them onto cassette or even--blech--8 track) and then placed them in a vinyl slipcover which is where they stayed until now. In some cases, I bought one copy to play and kept another sealed copy on the shelf (thus I can guarantee that the items in shrink wrap have not been tampered with or re-sealed). In cases where I bought a used LP that might not have been in 100% perfect shape, I still immediately put it inside a protective vinyl sleeve. I am very picky about grading records so you won't be surprised with my discs...I always point out any visible flaws I see. If you have ever been looking for records in unbelievably nice condition, keep an eye on my auctions. I will combine shipping...so you can really rack up some neat stacks of goodies. The best part...is that all of these will be offered with NO RESERVE and no mention whatsoever about all that damn book value crap...(!). (Note: I apologize but I cannot answer specific questions about exactly what records I will be selling as they have all been in boxes for decades and I won't know what's there until I open 'em up.) As much as I have really loved and cherished my records...it is now time for them to go out into the world on their own...so long, little friends...so long, farewell...
