Description
Beverly Kenney- Like Yesterday, original 1959 pink label, Mono, DECCA PROMO, DL 8949.
Very scarce Vocal Jazz LP, original promo edition, featuring Jerome Richardson, Ed Shaughnessy, Bill Pemberton, Chuck Wayne, Stan Free, Johnny Rae, Eddie Bert and Al Kink.
Vinyl is a clean and glossy, some light spindle-marks visible with close inspection and quite a bit of sleeve-burn and hairlines visible under light, unfortunately there are 2 deep, short radial scratches that tick !!JARRINGLY!! in the beginning of track 2, side 1 (for 12 rotations), in fact they skip forward in a couple places, I usually skip this track when playing the record. The rest of the LP plays basically VG+, with just a small amount of sporadic surface noise in places. Due to the flaw I'll have to grade the record as G.
Cover is VG+, vibrant cover image, light corner-wear, some scotch tape residue on upper left (appears easily removed with care), 2 inches of splitting on upper right corner, some pencil markings on back, upper right (once again appears easily removed) and a stain on lower right, back (see pictures). 2 inch split on bottom edge.
Offered here with a low opening bid and no reserve, NM copies fetching prices in the mid to high hundreds!
