DESCRIPTION
Betty St. Claire - “What Is There To Say” Jubilee Records LP-1011 (Mono) from 1955. Very hard to find RED VINYL Album of Female Vocal Jazz from the lovely Betty St. Claire. Former singer for Dizzy Gillespie’s band St. Claire is backed by Hal McKusick, Eddie Swanson, Barry Galbraith, Addison Farmer, Herb Lovelle and Billy Byers. Super Rare Red Vinyl pressing in the Burt Goldblatt photo Cover and on the Original Deep Groove Black with Gold Print Jubilee labels!
CONDITION
The Sleeve is in pretty decent condition, very clean, with just a little bit of basic ring and edge shelf wear. However, 3 out of 4 corners have creases and there is a small (1/4”) tear in the upper right corner. Still looks good and is very solid with no stains, writing, splits, etc. and I would rate it VG. The Vinyl is likewise in pretty good overall condition, nice and glossy but there are numerous “cluster” scuffs or hairlines I think as the result of needle drops. In general plays nicely with just some light groove noise (which might well be remedied by a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush) but there are repeating crackles and a few light tics I think from those “clusters". No big pops, skips or anything like that, really plays quite nicely. I would rate it as a VG. The labels show a couple light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
