Description

Up for auction is a very rare original copy of the debut self-titled funk masterpiece Betty Davis, originally released in the U.S. on Just Sunshine Records (JSS 5) in 1973.

-Guaranteed original pressing
-A-1/B-1 etchings in deadwax
-Original tan Just Sunshine labels
-Original embossed cover
-No UPC/bar code on cover

Condition:
The cover is in very good condition with moderate signs of wear.  Light rubbing top and bottom middle, and to the seams and corners.  No seam splits, no tears or separations.  Spine shows some light wear, but titles are legible.  Still an attractive example of this rare cover.
Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).

The vinyl is in very nice condition, still has its original shine.  No significant scratches or scuffs, just a couple very faint, light marks that cannot be felt, nor do they affect the quality of the playback, which is excellent, very clear.  One side has a slight wavy spot in the factory pressing that does not affect the quality of the playback--not serious.  Looks like it's been played only a couple of times, but handled very carefully.  No marks around spindle holes, indicating little previous play.  Well-preserved original pressing. 
Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies
