BERT JANSCH - First self-titled LP - EX 1st issue UK Transatlantic TRA 125
The time has come to bite the bullet and sell more of my vinyl collection - some classical, some jazz, some pop, rock, folk & psych. I know it won't be appreciated by my daughter or the next generation, so I'm shifting it myself and hope I find good homes for it. The hard work is deciding what to let go first, but it will probably be duplicates, stuff I have on CD and items unplayed for ages and I'll pick at random from these so there should be a decent mix. You never know, there might just be something to suit your taste.

The Album:
One of those albums which helped bring folk into the mainstream. All his own compositions apart from a great version of Davy Graham's Angie. This is that first release with the track list on the sleeve in the wrong order (Rambling's Gonna be the Death of Me in the wrong place), the same title spelled differently on the label (Ramblings Going ..), Running from home on the cover, Running, Running from home on the label and Kasbah spelled Casbah on the sleeve. Not a great time for the quality controllers at Transatlantic.
Condition:
Cover: Single sleeve, front-laminated, nice and clean. Some light ringwear on the front and minor laminate separation. Solid and intact, spine is strong and legible. Unlaminated rear is extremely clean for a sleeve of this age. No writing or stickers.
Labels: Transatlantic labels with purple logo on both sides, bright and clean. Hardly any spindle marks. No writing or stickers. Excellent. Please check pictures - the side one label has been applied slightly off-centre so the LP hole is not exactly in the centre of the globe and a section of the edge text has been rubbed in the process. Another score for quality control!
Vinyl: Very nice glossy vinyl, retaining its original lustre and bearing just the odd customary paper scuff. Very few plays. Plays excellently. I have never attempted to clean this album, so there's every chance that a good clean will improve playback even more by removing any dust and static..
Overall:
A superb copy of this album playing excellent - I'd guess that this might be professionally graded at (cover / vinyl) EX / EX

Postage: Approximate prices - UK £3.00 for 1 or 2 LPs, Europe £5.20 + £1.80 each additional, Rest of world £8.30 + £3.70 each additional item - these amounts include estimated actual Royal Mail cost for first class or air mail, plus 40p for cost of packaging material (a brand new custom mailer with stiffener).
