Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "Musically Mad" - by Bernie Green with the Stereo Mad Men on the RCA Victor Records label (LPM 1929), in beautiful original High Fidelity sound, issued circa 1959.
CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Jacket is in remarkably good shape, with a split bottom center, corner dings, light soiling and overall age wear (something all MAD fans from the '50s are showing)- please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Excellent(Vinyl is glowing and lovely, with only a few light scuffs - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare original copy of the vintage Space Age treasure, featuring quirky instrumentals by Bernie, as well as vocals and other help from Henry Morgan. This is a treasure of '50s original music and unusual arrangements from all over the musical map. No matter what else this is, it's VERY entertaining. And on the back, amid the extensive notes and illustrations for each and every tune, is this interesting information: "Mis-led by Bernie Green (who also wrote the stuff) with the Stereo Mad-Men and further hampered by Henry Morgan and Joseph Julian. Program notes by The Editor of MAD, Al Feldstein (who doesn't know about music, but digs stereo because he's got two heads). Cover portrait of Alfred E. Neuman By Norman Mingo, who usually paints much better! Wallace Wood's illustrations for the back jacket are currently on loan to the Museum of Modern Art of Outer Mongolia. Recorded in New York, August and September, 1958. Recording Engineer: John Norman. Produced Under Duress By Lee Schapiro."

SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
