Conditions : cover shows some minimal creasing on the corners, perfect for the rest, NEAR MINT / disc has some cosmetic rubs and minor scuffs which do not affect play at all. On the label are visible two square brackets made with a pen on the first side and one on the second. An amateurish way in order to indicate the track containing two tunes. EX+

STRICTLY GRADED

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc. ... are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Notes : the album features only instrumental tunes and songs from the '20s as background music accompanying some scenes of the film, orchestrated and conducted by Bernard Herrmann while his original compisitions for the soundtrack were not issued at the time and released many years later in compact disc, e.g. the box " Bernard Herrmann At 20th Century Fox " by Varese Sarabande in 2011.  The only exception is the track of the opening titles " Tender Is The Night ", composed  by Sammy Fain with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster, however in instrumental version whereas in the movie was sung by an uncredited vocal group and was nominated for the 1962 Academy Award for Best Song.  Music and dance songs that became enormously popular in the 20's. Thus Charleston, Breakaway, Black Bottom and Lindy Hop alternate in a pleasant way.
