- A Psyche/New Age/Folk Classic - As I continue on my trek towards old fartdom, I'll be listing a lot of my way cool LPs and music-related stuff on eBay in the coming months, so be sure to check back every once in a while, won't you?
ALBUM JACKET: Contained in its original shrinkwrap all these years. Very very nice w/ a wee bit of corner wear, most notably at lower right. Vivid original colors.
VINYL: Overall VG to VG+ condition based on visual grading - much better when played. It does have a few scuffs and one that runs the distance across one side, but I played this beauty one more time at a crankin' volume and it sounded really nice. The occasional pop, but nothing that was repeatedly irritating or bad. Great original shine. You will be pleasantly surprised.
NOTES: This is a truly awesome record! I was not sure what to expect when played this after aquiring it from my older brother years ago. I wish I could think of another group to compare them to, but I can't. Essentially, they are a folk trio. But with the absence of a guitar, they developed a sound that is so unique, so psychedelic, it's just amazing. There is a lot of autoharp which creates the illusion of a guitar. Lots of great organ, electric piano, arp synth and other instruments. The vocals are mostly female with some male harmonies on the bottom. They take on two covers, "Nights In White Satin" by the Moody Blues and "Dream On" by Aerosmith. Both are completely killer. The tunes penned by the band are outstanding as well. I can't remember the last time I listened to an LP that had more talented musicians than these folks. Truly amazing.
This lot will make a super addition to any vintage funk/R&B/disco record collection.
