Offered is Benny Goodman, The Famous 1938 Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert. This Double LP marked quite a milestone in the history of Jazz Recordings.

While officially a reissue from the first edition Columbia release on their Green and Silver Label (1950), our offered release is the 1st Edition Six Eye Release (1956) from the Hollywood Pressing Plant. It was a part of Columbia's Silver 25th Anniversary Series commemorating the great Jazzman Benny Goodman.

The 2 vinyl records, the laminated Box Cover, inner sleeve inserts (and the original rounded plastic sleeves) are in fabulous Investment Grade Near Mint condition, as described more fully below.

THE VINYL : NEAR MINT

NM :  This top grade applies to both of these superb LPs. They are lightly played with minimal spindlewear.
 
Bright, undamaged, Gray and Black Columbia 6 Eye labels (please see photos).  
 
Each of the four sides retains all of the original gloss, and other than some light cosmetic sleevewear from the inner sleeves, there are no marks on any side.
 
The records have been carefully handled, and the mono audio playback is impressive.
 



THE BOX SET COVER : NEAR MINT

NM :  Please see photos / laminated / exceptionally well-stored / bright colors / sharp corners / no edgewear / no ringwear / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact / no writing, paper loss, stains or dirt.




Included are the original plastic rounded inner sleeves, along with the original cardboard inserts for both records (please see the photos in our gallery).
