Description

 Here are both volumes of the famous Benny Goodman 1937-38 Jazz Concert 2-LP boxed sets on Columbia Masterworks. Volume one is the legendary  Carnegie Hall concert from 1938 and volume two is more live radio broadcasts from 1937-38. Features his classic big band with Gene Krupa and Harry James, and some of the small combos with Lionel Hampton and Teddy Wilson. Also guest appearances at  Carnegie Hall by the likes of Count Basie, Lester Young, Ziggy Elman, Buck Clayton, and so forth. Both sets are on the original grey 6-eye Columbia label, and both sets have the inner sleeves. All four LPs are in excellent condition and play just beautifully, near flawlessly. There are some light scuffs, maybe, but barely. The first set has a torn upper edge on the outer box (see photos) but is otherwise lovely. The box on the second set is perfectly intact and almost mint. These are really top copies of these wonderful recordings, and rare original pressings. Very hard to top this pair.
