BENNIE GREEN "SOUL STIRRIN'" LP - On Blue Note Records, #1599. Extremely rare vintage jazz Lp from 1958! Original MONO pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 47 WEST 63RD NYC address on the labels. The label is Deep Groove on both sides with the "EAR" and RVG stamp in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: Bennie Green/trombone; "Jug" (Gene Ammons) and Billy Root/tenor sax; Sonny Clark/piano; Ike Isaacs/bass; Elvin Jones/drums. The vinyl is in EX+ condition (beautiful gloss, a few very light sleeve marks). Plays absolutely great! The thick laminated cardboard cover is in excellent shape and displays wonderfully. Minor ½ inch seam split at top right. Light occasional seam wear along bottom edge. There are just a few small ballpoint pen notes written faintly on back side. There is a small paper slick tear at very bottom on back side. NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 47 West 63rd St., New York 23.
