Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "Calypso Carnival" - by Lord Beginner/Lord Kitchener/The Lion/The Iron Duke on the Decca Records label (DL 5505), in beautiful original high fidelity sound, issued circa 1956.
CONDITION: JACKET - EX(Jacket is in good shape, all things considered, with edge/corner/age wear and a small name at top right back - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - VG+(DECCA's original 10" vinyl has scuffs and light marks, but plays surprisingly well with only a few pops here and there - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight; aurally graded by my ancient ears).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare album by Cyril Blake's Calypso Serenaders, featuring multi tracks by Lord Beginner, Lord Kitchener, The Lion and The Iron Duke. The back cover features extensive notes and bios by Louis Untermeyer himself, along with wonderful cartoon images. This is an extremely rare treat.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
