Description
SUPERB UK FIRST PRESS copy of the classic Vertigo Swirl/Spiral label LP 6360 054, 'Waters of Change' by Beggars Opera.
Small swirl on label, 1Y*2/2Y*1 matrix suffixes.
The original matt gatefold sleeve is in fantastic shape, very well looked-after indeed!! It has a little EXTREMELY light corner scuffing, a few EXTREMELY light edge and thumb creases and a bit of very minor ringwear visible on the back, but these are really minor faults on a wonderful sleeve with truly exceptional colour, a square, straight spine with NO FADING, and square, solid structure! It certainly grades EX+!
The contemporary and correct Vertigo Swirl inner sleeve is dated 0671 and has a little light creasing, very light edge browning and a very small tear at the edge of one label hole; still definitely grades EX!
The vinyl is in wonderful condition, shiny and glossy, very clean; there is a light stylus ring towards the end of band 3 on side B which causes a little distortion on 2 revolutions, and one noticeable mark again towards the end of the same band which causes 14 light but noticeable clicks. A few lesser hairlines on side B have absolutely no effect on superb, strong audio! Overall grade for vinyl is EX!!
A brilliant copy, then, of a major UK rarity!! Looking forward to bids on this and other Vertigo UK LPs being listed today!!!
