Description
SUPERB UK FIRST PRESS copy of the classic Vertigo Swirl/Spiral label LP 6360 018, 'Act One' by Beggars Opera.
Large swirl on label, 1Y*1/2Y*1 matrix suffixes.
The original matt gatefold sleeve is in fantastic shape, very well looked-after indeed!! It has a little very light corner and edge scuffing, a few very light edge creases and a bit of very minor ringwear visible on the back, but these are really minor faults on a wonderful sleeve with truly exceptional colour, a square, straight spine with NO FADING, and square, solid structure! It certainly grades EX+!
The contemporary and correct Vertigo Swirl inner sleeve is dated 1070 and has a little light creasing, light edge browning and a tiny tear at the edge of one label hole; still definitely grades EX!
The vinyl is in wonderful condition, shiny and glossy, very clean; there are a few very small scuff marks on side A, end of band 2 and start of band 3 which cause a little background noise, and a couple of light hairline scuffs on side B across the end of band one and start of band 2 with a similar effect, but generally audio is superb, very strong! Overall grade for vinyl is EX!!
A brilliant copy, then, of a major UK rarity!! Looking forward to bids on this and other Vertigo UK LPs being listed today!!!
