Hi! You're looking at an AMAZING collection of music on the great Philips Label--this record was manufactured in The Netherlands and bears the serial number 6768 004--it's a THIRTEEN LP Box Set!! Best of all, the set includes UNPLAYED, NEAR MINT CONDITION vinyl and a beautiful, very strong NEAR MINT- box!! This is the COMPLETE PIANO SONATAS of the master of the genre--LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN--and is some of the most emotionally resonant and stirring music ever composed (also included here is the "Andante Favori", WoO 57)! ALL of the brilliant sonatas are here, including the famous "Moonlight", "Pathetique", "Hammerklavier", "Waldstein", "Hunt", "Pastorale", and "Fur Therese" sonatas, in addition to the astonishing late period sonatas that anticipated not only developments in the Romantic school but also elements of modern and impressionist music. The compositions are all performed by the brilliant pianist ALFRED BRENDEL, who has an amazing affinity for Beethoven's piano music and was the first artist to record the COMPLETE Beethoven Sonatas. It's a stunning, tour-de-force accomplishment, and the sound quality is exceptional!! This is an amazing set, and a great opportunity to own one of the best complete recordings of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas in a single set--a fantastic find!!
This set is in superb condition--the vinyl is in NEAR MINT, UNPLAYED condition and is LIKE NEW--it should sound beautiful, and is in the nicest possible condition! The book enclosed with the set--which includes a complete explication of the sonatas by Brendel and a profile of the pianist himself, in addition to some great illustrations--is also NEAR MINT. The box is a strong NEAR MINT- condition and is fully attached at the spine with just very slight wear on the corners and slight bubbling of the lamination around the box edges--it looks fantastic and is extremely durable. This is probabaly the nicest copy of this set that you'll ever see!
