This is the original UK LP by The BEE GEES, THE BEE GEES 1st, 1967, SUPER RARE MONO 1st Pressing, on the POLYDOR label 582012 Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- 582012 A#2 420 1 2 1 4, Side 2:- 582012 B 4 420 1 1 2 7 By 1967 the Stereo format was in full flow and the most popular and widely sold. The Mono format was rapidly disappearing and less and less Mono records were being pressed as their were was a huge demand for Stereo records, so naturally record companies pressed the vast majority of their records in the Stereo format, thus making Mono Pressed records a scarce commodity and now making them a rare and highly collectable record from this period The original 1967 UK Mono E.J DAY front only laminated 1st issue cover with 'patents pending' credits is in EX condition!. The cover maintains all it's beautiful rich bright vibrant colour, thickly laminated with glossy laminate on the front, STUNNING. The very PSYCH design is amazing, the colours are beautiful, not surprising that the cover artwork / design was by Klaus Voormann, who famously designed the Beatles album artwork for their Revolver album in 1966. The back is lovely and clean and white. Their is a an old price sticker on the back, bottom left hand side. Their are two small 'nicks' 1mm on the front opening edge, very minimal. The spine is fully intact and partially readable Their are no seam splits and no unwanted writing. SUPERB EXAMPLE! The vinyl is in EX+++ condition!, close to MINT- condition, The vinyl gleams with all it's original 'Just Pressed, glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays EX+++ / MINT- !!!! The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity!, amazing clean crisp powerful MONO sound, crystal clear clarity, amazing MONO, top quality pressing!
The label's are in MINT- condition, lovely and clean, maintaining all their original bright fresh bold red colour, their is no unwanted writing, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear
The vinyl is housed in its original 1967 UK polythene lined inner sleeve and in EX condition, no seam splits, no unwanted writing, slightly aged
