Description

TITLE/INFO: If you have interest in great conditioned "oldies" music and more, please continue to check in on my site as I have many more 45's/EP's and LP's to sell - and thank you in advance. This highly collectible and rare Beatles/Four Seasons album on the Vee-Jay label - in fact, probably their rarest Vee-Jay album - is from 1964, in original MONO, and entitled "The Beatles Vs The Four Seasons"  - and it has a very interesting story to it. Back in early '64, VeeJay lost their rights to release any new Beatles or new Four Seasons material. So, as one last hoorah, they released this double LP which included their original LP, "Introducing The Beatles", as well as "The Four Seasons Golden Hits" which they still owned the rights to. In addition to the two records and the gatefold jacket, his double LP release comes with the original 12"x24" (approximately) poster that was included with the release as well as original Vee-Jay Records inner sleeves. The gatefold jacket has a wealth of information about both groups and the "score sheet" on the jacket's backside (used to rate both groups) has been untouched - something you rarely find with this album. LABEL INFO: The original Vee-Jay labels (1062 and 1065) are super clean and nice with no issues in need of mentioning at all. I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circles which indicates to me that they had very little actual play. VINYL INFO: The records are also super shiny, clean, and nice - and again, I don't see any flaws to list here either. In my opinion, they both look almost as good as the day they were 1st pressed and may have never been played - for sure, they weren't played very much!! POSTER/INNER SLVS INFO: Yes, this approximate 12"x24" poster was a nice addition to the package and this one is nearly perfect - no issues at all. So to, are the two original Vee-Jay Records inner sleeves that advertise other available albums from that time. JACKET: Finally, this GATEFOLD jacket is in very good overall shape, but does show a few mentionable flaws. There is some very light and early signs of ring wear on the jacket's front cover, small scuff marks in each of the corners, two small seam splits (1"-2" each) in the right corner of the top seam, and a 6" small tear in the middle of the open side seam on the front side (all of this is visible in the pics above). Otherwise, the entire inside is near perfect and the rest of the outside is just fine, too. In my opinion, none of the mentioned flaws are all that serious, but please view all 12 of the pictures above and make your own decisions. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this highly collectible and desired Beatles album is in very nice overall shape - especially the hard to find poster and both records - but the jacket isn't all that bad either. As always, I have begun the auction at a low opening bid and have no reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck! FYI, if anyone wants to bid on multiple items to save on postage costs, I am more than happy to "save" your winning pieces here at the house until you are ready for shipping - just tell me ahead of time, wait for my invoice (not EBay's), and pay for each item as you win them. In addition to this record, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 100's more to list yet -- of all varieties and genres. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are original pressings and in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!  If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (1st Class Mail and Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per album after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are $25.00 for this LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records  that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.

On Nov-16-16 at 18:30:31 PST, seller added the following information:

OK, I meant to say that, unless I decide to sell my "Yesterday And Today" Butcher Cover album - which so far, I have resisted - this will be the end on my Beatles collection sell off. But, for all you British Invasion fans I will likely be selling off my early Rolling Stones albums next. And, to be honest, they just might be nicer and more valuable that the Beatles I just finished listing. So, please continue to bookmark my site and stay tuned - thank you!
