TITLE/ARTIST: Hello and please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection - Beatles and more - will eventually come up for sale - good records from the '50's, '60's, and much more - all are "oldies" and most all in great shape! This is a relisted item because the original buyer discovered a couple of flaws I had failed to see, and thereby neglected to mention. I'll take care of mentioning both these issues with this listing - and, having said that, I'd say the entire piece is still quite nice and well worth having in one's collection, so please read on. This is one of those rare and highly collectible Beatles' LP`s - their very 1st release for the Vee-Jay Label with the "gatefold jacket" and all the other 1st pressing signs. It is on this original Vee-Jay Label  - with VJ in brackets - from back in 1964 with all writing on the label above the hole, as was once a telltale sign for original VJ first pressings. It was another Vee-Jay release of the same "Introducing The Beatles" LP (see label title), but was issued with a different jacket and title - this one being a "gatefold jacket" with the original 2/3 front side flap and entitled, "Songs, Pictures, and Stories Of the Fabulous Beatles". Of course, Vee-Jay Records was one of the very first labels that tried to jump on the Beatles' success as they hit the "big time" here in the US back in 1964. And, it is yet another album in very good overall condition - both the vinyl and the jacket, although neither is perfect. This LP - the 1st of just a few albums Vee-Jay released - features twelve (12) early songs by the Beatles and all of the titles are visible in the pictures above. All the songs are in original MONO, and in very good shape (again, please see the pictures above for all song titles and read on). LABEL INFO: This original, Vee-Jay Label (1062) is in great shape with no real serious issues, although someone did manage to cleverly, discretely, and rather uneventfully etch their name into the wide dead wax area between where the songs end and the label begins on one side only - I've tried to picture this above. On a positive note, I don't see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it may have had very little actual play. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also extremely shiny, clean, and nice with again, no issues with the record's play - just a few light and totally uneventful surface and/or paper lines, but nothing serious. However, one more issue I missed the 1st time around is a small, 1/2" chip in the opening dead wax area on one side only (again, see the pictures above). Although it certainly is there, it really could have little or no impact on the record if one sets the needle onto the vinyl, as there is still plenty of room to set the needle before the songs begin. Otherwise, in my opinion the vinyl looks very, very good, and again, was likely played quite sparingly. JACKET INFO: Finally, the "gatefold" jacket, and all of the pictures and individual stories on each Beatle inside it, is primarily very good as well, but it does have a couple of minor flaws worth mentioning. There are a couple of small scuff marks in the corner areas and some small amount of light ring wear and/or aging, primarily on the backside - but again, nothing I'd call too serious. The jacket's front side and the inside sections are just fine (again, see pics above). INTERESTING FACTS: Although the package might not be perfect, it really isn't bad either - especially for what it is to collectors. So, please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection - Beatles and others - and I never use any "reserve prices". As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are many more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time.
