Condition of Vinyl:- Both sides of the disc have minimal wear only , just a few ' in and out of the liner sleeve ' surface traces evident beneath a light...........what is remarkable about this disc is the sound quality.......Imagine is a notoriously difficult album to find for actual playing........many of the songs are brilliantly simple musical pieces , so surface noise is a constant problem.............This copy is a real pleasure to play........there is barely any noise, even on the between track bandings................Very Carefully Graded at Visually EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ , Aurally MINT minus condition.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Label Condition:- No wear at all , just a trace of spindle use evident : MINT minus condition.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition of Sleeve:- Laminated original

Front: Beautifully crisp and bright , no edge or corner wear at all , there are just a few very small , light crease traces only (Very Small) EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.

Rear: A fraction better than the front , no crease traces at all : MINT minus condition.

Spine: No wear at all , and still has the 'pinched' manufacturing feature top and bottom : MINT condition.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lyric Liner Sleeve is extremely bright and clean , minimal wear only : EXCELLENT+ condition.

Large Poster (Photo by Peter Fordham) A feature which is missed by many people is that the original rough texture poster is very thick and heavy compared to the widely available later copies..........This original copy has very light wear only , very clean : easily EXCELLENT condition.

The Photo has no wear : MINT condition.

A lovely original John Lennon LP.............

Notes:- Personnel: John Lennon (vocals, whistling, guitar, piano); Ted Turner, Rod Linton, John Tout, Joey Badfinger, Tommy Badfinger (acoustic guitar); George Harrison (dobro); Nicky Hopkins (piano); King Curtis (saxophone); John Barnam (harmonium, vibraphone); Klaus Voorman, Steve Brendell (bass, maracas); Alan White, Jim Keltner, Jim Gordon (drums, tibetian cymbals); Mike Pinder (tambourine). Considered together, IMAGINE and its startling predecessor JOHN LENNON/PLASTIC ONO BAND paint a vivid picture of the state of John Lennon immediately post Beatles. If JOHN LENNON/PLASTIC ONO BAND found John working out his hitherto repressed feelings about childhood and stardom, then the abiding impression of IMAGINE is John's one certainty in this storm of doubts and recrimination, his love for Yoko. "Jealous Guy," with its peerless vocal and a spot-on arrangement for strings, is sublime. "Oh My Love" is all delicacy and melodiousness. "Oh Yoko!" is a celebratory finale with none of the cloying self-obsession of John and Yoko's home movies. And on two other songs where Yoko is not the dominant theme, she is nevertheless invoked through the "oh no, oh no" refrain. That's not to say that love songs predominate. Half of the material covers similar terrain to JOHN LENNON/PLASTIC ONO BAND, but now there is hope and even light-heartedness. "Crippled Inside" is leavened by its country stylings including Dobro, courtesy of George Harrison, who also spices up two of the album's pivotal tracks, "Gimme Some Truth" and "How Do You Sleep?"

I add new items most days..........please take a look

I usually begin items at a low price to generate interest and bidding.....................

All items carefully graded audio-visually, and are played on a high quality system.

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I realize the requirements in the gradings of sleeves and discs , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised in listings ........I grade the discs beneath a light , to be sure of condition.................. I notice that the usual practice by many sellers on eBay is using the buzzwords Stunning!!!!!!! , Superb!!!!!!!! , Awesome!!!!!!!! etc etc etc......does the amount of exclamation marks gauge how Rare!!!! an item is????? It is just eye catching nonsense..........I do not participate in this two-bit shoddy practice.................... The items also have grossly long-winded descriptions .............these 'experts' also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and incorrect to actual facts , and would be laughable , but for the fact that it is misleading , and tends to hide the fact that the items on offer are only Average/Very Good , substandard items........and a 1000 word essay does not make what is an easily found VG condition item into a difficult to find Near Mint condition item.......... I take time and care to grade items correctly and only list quality records........

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest!) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists live too (I saw The Beatles twice........and Segovia!)

Please check my feedback ratings , you will see that a large amount (over 1800) of my feedbacks are from repeat customers (many thanks).........and in the event of genuine complaints I will remedy the situation as soon as possible......
