This is a original 1st press mono beatles white album,with the limited edition number 0204564..but what makes this even rarer is
- The mono mix is totally diffent to the stereo mix with diffent vocals/sounds etc
- comes not only with the 4 pictures but a very rare spacer
- sides 1/2 omit "AN E.M.I RECORDING" text but sides 3/4 have this!!!
- super rare WIDE SPINE cover
Cover
The original top opening Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover which is fully laminated with internal flipbacks is in Excellent(-) to excellent condition,it has no stickers or writing.The cover is a creamy colour.Here is a description of all parts of the cover
FRONT:Has the number 0204564 embossed,no laminate breaking,few creases and a small roughly 1 cm tear at the top opening.There is slight record indentation
BACK:Off white more creamy colour with no laminate breaking,few creases in places and very light record indentation..no tears..stickers etc
INNER GATEFOLD:creamy colour with just a few creases amd a little wear on the flipbacks
SEAMS:The bottom seams are unsplit and are really nice
SPINE:The W-I-D-E S-P-I-N-E is not to bad,the text is readable but there is a rougly 1 inch split near the top and a little laminate breaking (see scan)
Photos/spacer
The 4 photos are in Excellent condition,the rare spacer is Very good++ just a few creases and it is aged (not white)
Poster
The Garrod & lofthouse "lipstick" poster/lyric sheet is in Excellent condition
Original inners
The 2 black original die cut inners are not in the best condition,one is Very good with small edge split and tears,the other is only Good+ with repaired edge splits
Records
Disc 1(sides 1/2) labels
The labels which have the "sold in uk.." above the hole but OMIT "an E.M.I recording" text are very clean and grade Excellent there are some light spindle marks around the hole.There is no damage around the hole
Disc 1(side 1/2)vinyl
Disc 1 is visually graded as being in Excellent condition,has full gloss and shine with no groove wear,there are no bad fingernail scratches just a few very light hairlines which can only be seen under strong light,side 2 has a bigger mark that goes through most tracks..thats the worst mark the rest is very clean.It plays really well with no sound distortion and most of the tracks play excellently,there are a few light clicks and a sharp skip at the end of "back in the ussr" and a few clicks at the start of "dear prudence"
Disc 2(sides 3/4) label
The labels are in Excellent condition,side 4 is KJT tax code stamped..very clean with light spindles
Disc 2(sides 3/4) vinyl
Side 3 is in Very good+ condition..again full gloss and shine just a few marks and a hairline that goes through most of the tracks..but no fingernail scratches.Side 4 is in Very good++ condition..both sides play well with some static in places
ALTOGETHER A NICE EXAMPLE!!!!
