ONE-SIDED PROMO
In August of 1963 the Beatles hit the scene in the UK with their 4th new single "She Loves You" and "I'll Get You." With such a track record of hits in the UK, it was only natural that they would try to get their records launched in the US as well.
This single came out in America in September of '63 but it seemed nobody could be bothered to play some oddball group from England when groups like The Angles, Bobby Vinton and Jimmy Gilmer were topping the charts. But once the lads appeared on Ed Sullivan, it all changed. Suddenly their singles were hot commodities, and this 45 of 'She Loves You' stormed up the US charts.
Once “She Loves You” did it’s thing, Swan wanted DJs to focus on the other side song “I’ll Get You.” So they forced the issue by releasing this one-sided promo single doing just that. This version is on styrene and has the RECO-ART MASTERING mark from Philadelphia, and was pressed by Monarch.
CONDITION: VG+ with writing on other label face as shown.
