Description
This is the 1988 U.S. CAPITOL RECORDS PURPLE LABEL MONO MASTER MISPRESS of the original 1966 LP titled 'Yesterday And Today' from The Beatles. It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number C1-90447.
- 1988 purple label re-issue with new catalog # and barcode.
- <<This pressing contains the original 1966 mono master, used in error, which is not identified in the run-out data >>
- Capitol re-issued most of their US Beatles 1960s releases in 1988 with new catalog #s and barcodes for the first time. As of Dec 2015 this was the last vinyl pressing of the original US Capitol releases.
- Even though it has a new catalog # and matrix stamp, you can still see the old matrix stamp ST-1/2-2553 scratched out in the run-outs. These are pressed at Specialty Record Corporation, identified in the matrix with a large S surrounding R and C stamped in the run-out.
- Jacket pressed on posterboard stock. Comes with clear rice paper inner sleeve.
