Original U.S. 1966 Pressing
Here is a super addition to your Beatles collection! The winner of this auction gets the following:
A June, 1966 U.S. original STEREO pressing of The Beatles' Yesterday and Today LP (ST 2553) - incredibly, still in its original shrinkwrap, with a beautiful vinyl record and pristine original Capitol inner sleeve --- and a copy of The Beatles' 1966 tour book will be included!!!
Because most record buyers still had mono record players in 1966, far fewer original pressing STEREO Capitol LPs were pressed! This, along with the quality of the entire package makes this item very sought after by serious collectors!
- Cover: still in its original shrinkwrap, RIAA # 6. No less than four record store stickers adorn the front cover. The shrinkwrap is tight. Please note that part of it has torn away a bit from the open side of the cover and the upper left corner. The open sides of the cover have darkened somewhat, but not too much - this LP has been well taken care of. At least one breathe hole is present. Three corners show minimum bumping.
- Record: under a bright light, some paper scuffs and unfeelable light scratches are seen. Labels are very clean with minimal spindlewear on side 2 label. No subsidiary print.
- Inner sleeve - original orange sleeve is simply beautiful - minimal corner creasing and no seam splitting!
- Tour Book - a bonus for the winning bidder. This 1966 book is probably a reprint, but contains the cover and pages from the original.
