Comments: Extremely rare limited edition UK 1969 export issue of 1968 original release, complete with poster and four colour prints. Top opening stereo copy with beautiful silver & black Parlophone labels. Numbered 0539402. See photos.
Condition:
Cover: VG. Pretty good overall showing signs of use but care in handling, considering the age and awkward nature of the heavy package that this record set is. Top opening, laminated inside and out. Inside flipbacks. Embossed lettering for “The BEATLES” and printed numbering for the limited edition number (0539402). Side and bottom seams are solid and intact with virtually no evidence of wear. Spine has slight laminate chipping and lift and a small amount of laminate loss in the lower section due to repeated opening. There is some yellowing of the spine also and the lettering has faded so that it is now hard to see. Light dings to lower corners but upper corners are OK. Otherwise, general signs of age and careful use. Lower left corner crease and couple of light creases near the top due to record removal and replacement. Very clear “Stereo” in small print on back top right. Inside cover shows signs of age browning/spotting. Photos and text are clear and unblemished. See photos.
Photo Inserts: Ex. The colour prints are high gloss, printed on heavy card and all in excellent shape. No text printing (or writing) on either front or reverse. For some reason Ringo is a little shorter than the others (the card that is!).
Poster Insert: Ex. Bottom of poster states printed in UK (Garrod and Lofthouse) and has Northern Songs and Apple copyrights and EMI Records (The Gramophone Co. Ltd.) Hayes, Middlesex, England.
Discs: VG+. Moderate spindle traces show evidence of use but the records have been extremely well cared for and show only a few very light hairline marks. No scratches or other signs of abuse or carelessness. Very fine copy. Labels are beautifully crisp and bright with the lettering clearly printed and well defined. See photos.
