Description

This is an auction for a copy of The Beatles Lp commonly known as the White Album releases in the Uk in 1968 on Apple records catalogue numbat PMC 7067/7068. This copy has the very low number of 8353 !!

This is a very rare original Mono pressing with a very low number on the gatefold,

1/1/1/1 matrix numbers, No EMI text on the labels and comes with the original pictures and poster !

The records have the matrix numbers of XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1 & XEX 712-1 (the VERY 'Earliest' possible ! )

There are some light marks on the vinyl which have retained a nice deep sheen. I would visually grade them as a nice Very Good . The records will be professionally cleaned prior to sending.

I have listened to all 4 sides at high volume. They all sit nice and flat on the turntable and play through without any skips or jumps. There is some light background crackle and the occasional click and tick but nothing that takes away the enjoy of the music.

I would grade the audio as a nice Very Good.

The labels , with no EMI text, are free from writing and I would grade as Very Good++

The original Garrod and Lofthouse top opening gatefold sleeve has the very low number of 8353 which is incredible ! It is very nice condition for its age . The number and embossed Beatles are clear and vibrant. The laminate is mostly clean and free of creasing . There is some small staining to the front gatefold at the top and the top of the inside on the right ( see pictures). There are two small areas of wear to the spine but it is mostly legible. There is some very light ringwear.

I would grade the sleeve as at least a strong Very Good.

The photos are complete and are excellent. The poster has some creasing and wear along the seams. It is free of blue tack marks and pinholes.

The records come with their original black Inners which are quite creased but I will send them in new Inners.

Overall a nice copy of this very rare record.

Thanks for looking !

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of £4.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £11.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory. Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.

The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced
