Description
Welcome to my Auction You are bidding on a UK vinyl copy of the eponymously named 'The Beatles' (White Album). This album is both numbered and side loading, a combination of which I was unaware existed, at least in the UK. I was under the impression that only 'top loading' issues were numbered. However, I have been disabused of this fact by people who are far more knowledgeable than I. This is probably a late 60s/early 70s press. ******************** The Issue number is: 0127285.
The Matrix numbers and stampers are: YEX 709-1 GAP, YEX 710-1 GMP, YEX 711-2 GLR, YEX 712-2 GPL. ******************** The sleeve is laminated and the white card has inevitably 'yellowed' a bit over time. There are corner 'dinks' top and bottom left, and a small dark mark on the cover - about 1/2cm long and 1/4cm wide - it looks as though something small and rectangular rested on it. This mark, however is negligible, and the cover is in over all good shape. The inner sleeves are white. ******************** The vinyl both looks and sounds gorgeous. Under a bright light, and with a magnifying glass, I can see one or two scuff marks, but nothing significant. There is the odd crackle, probably due to a bit of dust, but nothing that detracts from the enjoyment of this fabulous album. ******************** This album contains the poster, but NOT the individual photos of the Beatles. Gradewise, I'd give the sleeve a VG because of the mark on the cover and the vinyl an EX. Please contact me if you have any further questions about this album. See my photos below.
________________ Neither I, nor my partner in this venture (a retired second-hand record shop owner) make a living from selling records or the occasional collectible. A lot of what we do sell is either his old stock, which has lain unplayed and unhandled in his loft since his retirement (over 10 years ago), or collectibles that he has acquired over the years. Though we do not actively seek out new sources of vinyl, my partner's contacts within the trade do occasionally throw up the odd item of interest. Between us, we have years of collecting experience, although most of this experience must be attributed to him.
Payment
Overseas bidders to pay using Paypal only! I will not accept cheques drawn on foreign banks!
I will accept both cheques and Paypal from UK bidders.
Postage and packing
I use sturdy, custom made, corrugated cardboard mailers. It's how I would like to receive any vinyl I choose to buy on the net. 'Send as you would be sent to' I always say. Unless otherwise specified by the buyer, I will post the record inside the cover itself.
If you have any other postal requirements, please contact me.
