Cover: Excellent (not mint). No writings/doodles or seam splits. Garrod & Lofthouse 1st Pressing wide-spine top loader without the 'stereo' text on the rear cover. Nice clear number and nicely embossed with 'The Beatles' on the front cover. No laminate lift. Nice spine - which is what often spoils these covers. Side flip-back seams firmly in place. Some bumping to corners and a few small crease lines towards the edges - see scan for an example. Hardly any wear to edges.
Black inner sleeves: Excellent (not mint) small amount of wear around the centre. These are so easily damaged but these are two of the best I have seen in many years.
Labels: Near Mint - these often have stickers/names written on but these are in fab condition. Both have the 'Sold in the UK' 1st Pressing text and one also has the 'An EMI recording' text.
Poster: Original 1st Pressing Garrod & Lofthouse poster is Near Mint. Never been hung and therefore no pin-holes/blu-tak or other disfiguring marks. Not even any seam splits along the folds - has neen in the sleeve since new.
Photos: Thicker first pressing photos are Mint. No pinholes/blu-tak, no fading or other disfiguring marks. Have never been hung up - these have been kept inside the sleeve since new.
Vinyl: Thick heavy duty vinyl. Sides 1 & 2 look to be Excellent under a strong light. Side 3 looks to be VG with 2 hairlines and some light feathering. Side 4 also looks to be VG with some light feathering. Played regularly but not abused. Very well cared for - especially as its now over 40 years old.

Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
