THE BEATLES . DOUBLE " WHITE ALBUM " .1st PRESSING VINYL MONO LP. The record has the Dark Apple labels as seen only on the 1st pressing together with Apple records printed around the label rim with the small letter "p" next to the date and also " sold in the UK featured across the labels BUT what I have never seen before is that their is NO EMI recording print on ANY of the labels .It also has the black die cut (only on one side) inner sleeves as seen in the photographs together with the original White Garrod and Lofthouse - Richard Hamilton designed gatefold sleeve showing the embossed "Beatles" name and the low number of 0150642. The album has sold some 20 million copies since it was first introduced in Nov 1968 and supposedly some 2 million in the first week placing this copy amongst the first in the country. The matrix numbers on side 1 are XEX 7091 - XEX 710 2 - XEX 711 1 and XEX 712 2 with the mother stampers being side 1 = AL 3 - side 2 = GGL 3 -side 3 = TL 5 and side 4 = GRR 1.It comes with the original poster and lyrics Including such classic original tracks as " Back In The U.S.S.R ", " Dear Prudence " and "Revolution 9" . I have owned this album since the above date and played it through yesterday and can vouch for its good condition ie some surface scratch marks that do not interfere with the sound quality.
