I inherited this copy of the White Album and unfortunately I don’t have a record player to play it on, so I have described the condition of the vinyl as accurately as possible but cannot comment on the sound quality. Visibly I would say overall the LP is between Good and Very Good according to the Grading System detailed below. Any further questions after reading the following, please ask.

Cover:  Good condition. mono top loader without the 'stereo' text on the rear cover. Embossed 'The Beatles' and nice clear number. Approx 1cm seam split at bottom of spine.  Some discolouration (age yellowing) all over and light water staining along top of front cover - see photos. Some wear/battered edges along top opening of cover, corners and along spine. Laminate has mostly peeled off/split on spine but intact everywhere else. Front and back covers a bit grubby.

Black inner sleeves: Very Good condition. Like most of these, there is some edge-wear and wear around the die-cut holes and three small rips in the top opening of one of them.

Poster: Good condition. No writings or doodles. Some wear along the crease lines Some light brown barely visible age spotting in parts. Drawing pin holes in four corners – one of these holes has ripped the corner off (approx 0.5 cm of corner has ripped)

Photos:  Good condition – no damage or writing. Drawing pin holes/marks in two (diagonal) corners of each photo. Some corners slightly battered

Labels: Very Good condtion. Clean, no damage or writing

Vinyl: Haven’t been able to play the LP as I have no record but visually looks in Very Good condition.   Disc 1 PMC 7067: bright sheen to surfaces, no warping. Side 1 has a few scuffs and surface marks ; side 2 has what I would call 5 small light scratches (none more than approx 1.5 cm long) and one short scratch approx 1cm long at beginning of record that is just felt by touch.  A few other surface line/scuffs that I wouldn’t describe as scratches.

Disc 2 PMC 7068  bright sheen to surfaces, no warping. Side 3 shows the odd scuffs and surface marks. Side 4 has what I would describe as four light hairline scratches and a few surface marks – none can be felt by touch.

GRADING SYSTEM: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
