THE BEATLES 33 1/3 RPM VINYL LP ~ POSTERS, INCENSE, AND STROBE CANDLES: THE LEGENDARY GET BACK RADIO BROADCAST, WBCN-FM, SEPTEMBER 22, 1969 - PRE-OWNED, GOOD CONDITION - FREE SHIPPING
The Beatles' album, LET IT BE, was released on May 8, 1970. As most Beatles and music fans know, the Let It Be project was originally going to be called Get Back. Eight months before the official Let It Be album was released, Boston FM radio station WBCN got their hands on an acetate of the unfinished, unofficial Get Back album.
That radio broadcast, from September 22, 1969, complete with commercials and DJ monologues, is on this album. The song mixes certainly sound different from the commercially-released versions (even different from those appearing on the Beatles Anthology CDs).
**The sound quality is very good, although there is some audible vinyl "crackling", more so on Side 2 than on Side 1 (I bought this album at a New York record store in 1993), which may or may not be from the acetate's sound. It has sounded the same from the first time I played it back in '93). It is absolutely listenable and very enjoyably so.
**SLIGHT PACKAGE IMPERFECTION: As you can see in the first photo, the album jacket has had a label removed (upper right-hand corner), and there is a "bend line" in the upper left front corner.
