BEATLES UK, Sgt Pepper & Abbey Road LPs.

Sgt Pepper's, UK 1969 one EMI box stereo labels LP.

PCS 7027, UK 1969 one EMI box, black and silver Parlophone labels.

A UK issue in original condition, featuring:

1. an original UK 1967 first issue stereo ‘flip back’ sleeve,

2. UK 1969, one EMI box stereo record labels with the text around the labels edge beginning with, ‘The Gramophone co. Ltd’, etc,

3. comes with its original UK 1969 period EMI red and white advertising inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the original UK 1967 ‘gate fold’ stereo ‘flip back’ sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in near very good condition, it has remained strong and straight but has some discolouring and only about half of the text on the spine can be read. The back panel of the sleeve is in excellent++ condition, with NO thumb creases to the laminate. The four opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp for their age. The original two top, ‘flip backs’, ie fold over edges, can be seen when the sleeve is opened. There are NO stains, tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INSERT: is not present.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original UK 1969 period EMI red and white advertising sleeve. A clean and well preserved inner sleeve for its age. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a small, 5mm tear to the front, middle opening edge and a slight split to the bottom edge.

THE RECORD: each side is in very good++ condition. The record is made of the quality, period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 637 - 1 and YEX 638 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘3 GOL’ and ‘1 GPT’.

THE AUDIO: each side plays very good++, each side plays with some light ‘crackle’, heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud powerful period stereo sound.

THE LABELS: each label is in very good++ condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

Abbey Road LP, original UK 1969 LP.

PCS 7088, original UK 1969 dark green Apple record labels.

An early UK issue in original condition, featuring:

1. side two of the record has an early set of ‘mother / stampers’, being: ‘1 GAA’. These first issue UK 1969 records are very hard to find with such early, ‘mother / stampers’,

2. the track ‘Her Majesty’, is not printed on the record label on side two, or on the rear of the sleeve, but this track plays on the record !,

3. the record labels are first issue UK, from 1969 and on side one feature a DARK green Apple colour,

4. comes with its original plain white EMI, 1969 inner sleeve made of quality heavy grade paper, with the text, ‘Patents no 1,125,555’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The original thin spine is in very good+ condition and all of the text is readable on the spine. The two opening edges have remained clean and sharp for their age. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. To the front, top, near to the spine, there is a small area of laminate and colour loss.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original period, EMI plain white inner sleeve with the text, ‘Patent no. 1,125,555’. The original inner sleeve is made from the period, ‘heavy grade’ quality paper with a textured surface on the inside. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There are some slight age related marks to each side.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good condition, side two is in very good+ condition. The record is made of the period, 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl.

The matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘4 GMH’ and ‘1 GAA’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays very good, it plays with some ‘ticks’ and some ‘crackle’ heard here and there and some ‘distortion’ to the first half of the track, ‘I want you’. Side two plays very good+, it plays with some ‘ticks’ and ‘crackle’, heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in excellent condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
