BEATLES UK, Rubber Soul, rare stereo logo sleeve.
PCS 3075, original UK 1965 black and yellow Parlophone record labels.
A UK issue album in original condition, featuring:
1. a very small number of UK ‘flip back’ stereo sleeves were printed with a small stereo logo that appear on the front, top right. These logos appeared in black or in silver, this copy had a black stereo logo. It seems that most of these copies found their way over to the United States, so could have been printed for the US ‘export’ market. Regular UK stereo sleeves never had a stereo logo,
2. these stereo logo sleeve copies came with a later EMI advertising inner sleeve from 1969, so these stereo logo sleeves could have been printed in that year.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition. The front of the sleeve is laminated. The two opening edges are clean and in excellent condition. The spine is in very good+ condition and has remained a clean white in colour and all the text on the spine is readable. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1965 period, ‘tri flip back’, ie fold over edge design. The un laminated rear of the sleeve has remained very clean and white for its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. To the rear middle / lower, right there is a slight sign of a ‘water’ mark. There is some creasing to the front, top left and right corners.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original period red and white EMI advertising sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean, a very clean and well preserved inner sleeve of its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.
THE RECORD: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in very good+ condition. The record is made from the original 1960s period, thick, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.
The matrix are: YEX 178 - 3 and YEX 179 – 3,
The mother / stampers are: ‘2 GH’ and ‘2 GM’.
THE AUDIO: each side plays excellent+, each side plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there, but in general it plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record lays flat on the turntable. The record plays with a full, powerful, period stereo sound.
THE LABELS: each label is in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
