BEATLES UK, Rubber Soul, loud cut, first UK 1965 mono issue.

PMC 1267 - original UK 1965 mono yellow and black Parlophone labels.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. a first UK 1965 mono issue of this album featuring the 1/1 mono matrix, now referred to as the ‘loud cut’,

2. upon its first release in the UK in December 1965 attempts were made to recall these first issue 1/1 mono matrix records as the Beatles record producer was not satisfied with the overall sound balance. These first issue 1/1 mono matrix records were quickly replaced with the more familiar 4/4 mono matrix records,

3. early mother/stampers on side one, they are: ‘1 GL’,

4. each of the record labels have an unusual ‘textured’ surface around the spindle hole, while the rest of the labels have a regular ‘smooth’ finish.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained sharp for their age. The spine is in very good++ condition and all of the text is clear to read on the spine. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s ‘tri flip back’ fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a small name written in black pen on the rear, top right and some age related marks here and there on the rear of the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. A clean and relatively crease free inner sleeve for its age. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is some age related marks, here and there.

The matrix are: XEX 579 - 1 and XEX 580 – 1, the original ‘withdrawn’ first UK 1/1 mono matrix,

The mother/stampers are: ‘1 GL’ and ‘2 GH’.

THE AUDIO: is very good++, it plays with some light ‘crackle’ and some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in very good+ condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
