PMC 1267 mono - original 1965 yellow and black Parlophone record labels.

A UK first press album in original condition, featuring:

1. what is now considered to be the best George Martin mono mix of this album, the final mono 5 / 5 matrix,

2. a more unusual sleeve, made and printed by the company ‘E J Day’.

3. an early set of mother / stampers, being: ‘ 1 H P ’ and ‘ 1 M M ’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The two opening edges have remained in excellent condition, they are clean and sharp. For its age the four corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The spine is excellent+ condition and has remained an excellent fresh white in colour and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s period ‘tri flipback’ design. The un laminated rear of the sleeve has remained an excellent clean, white for its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. An excellent clean sleeve for it age. Theres NO pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There are two small tears around the ‘die cut hole’ on each side and a slight split to one of the side edges.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent++ condition, side two is in excellent+ condition. The record is made from the original period 1960s thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl has clearly been very well looked after and by the looks of it has not been played very much. It has remained very clean, dark and glossy. The record lays flat on the turntable.

The matrix are: XEX 579 - 5 and XEX 580 – 5,

The mother / stampers are: very early, ‘ 1 H P ’ and ‘ 1 MM ’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent+, it plays with relativity quiet grooves. Side two begins play with some crackle for about one minute, then there is some light crackle heard into track two and three, the crackle then clears and the audio is excellent, so will rate the audio on side two as, overall very good. Side two would benefit from a professional clean to deal with the issues above as the condition of the playing surfaces are so clean.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, with slight signs of spindle trails on each label. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
