Description
BEATLES UK – Revolver LP, rare MT code, with shop price sticker, original mono.
PMC 7009 – original 1966 black and yellow Parlophone labels.
An early UK mono copy of this album in original condition, featuring:
1. the record label on side two has a very unusual ‘MT’ tax code embossed onto it. This is technically incorrect as the ‘MT’ tax code was discontinued in July 1963, but this record was not released until August 1966 !,
2. each of the record labels appear to have a more unusual ‘textured’ surface !, it looks as if a completely different grade of paper was used,
3. on the rear of the sleeve there is an original shop price sticker, which reads ‘32/5’, see photo.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. This laminate has remained very glossy. The spine is in near excellent condition and has remained clean and white for its age, and all the text is clear to read. The rear features the original ‘tri-flip back’ design. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original EMI period ‘Patents applied for’, plain white sleeve. A clean and well preserved sleeve for its age. The two opening edges have remained very clean. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. The is a slight split to one of the side edges. To the front, right middle edge there are some slight age related marks.
THE RECORD: side one is in near very good condition. Side two is in very good++ condition. The record is made of the original 1960s, period thick, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.
The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 3,
The mother / stampers are: ‘2 S L L’ and ‘4 M R’,
THE AUDIO: side one plays very good, it plays with some light crackle and with some ‘pops’ and ‘ticks’ heard, here and there. Side two plays very good++ with some light crackle. The record lays flat on the turntable. The record plays with a loud, full period mono sound.
THE LABELS: are in excellent+ condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
