BEATLES UK, Please Please Me, NO 'Sold in UK' text stereo record labels, UK LP.

PCS 3042, UK stereo black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK LP in original condition, featuring:

1. hard to find stereo record labels, without the text, 'Sold in UK' etc,

2. two different record label 'variants' on each side of the record,

3. the record label on side one is very unusual as it features:

a. 'narrower' and 'taller' font style text. The record label on side two features the regular 'Sans Serif' font style text, ie not as 'narrow' and not as 'tall',

b. the 'vertical spacing' of the text is 'greater'. The record label on side two features the regular 'vertical spacing', ie it is more compact,

c. the text of, 'THE BEATLES', is printed larger. The record label on side two features this text printed smaller,

4. side one of the record label features an, 'outer ridge', this 'ridge' does not appear on side two of the record label,

5. earliest 'mother' of '1' engraved onto the 'run off' groove on side two of the record,

6. the sleeve features a more unusual 'small' stereo logo,

7. comes with its original red and white period EMI advertising inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good condition and most of the text on the spine is still readable. The rear of the sleeve features the period UK, 1960s, ‘tri flip back’, ie 'fold over edges' design. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near very good condition and is the original, period red and white EMI advertising inner sleeve. A good clean, white original inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There are two 'nicks' to the rear opening edge and a split to the bottom edge, a slight split to the side edge and a small split to the other side edge.

THE RECORD: each side of the record is in near very good condition. The record is made of the period, quality 1960s, 'thick heavy' vinyl.

The records 'matrix' is: YEX 94 - 1 and YEX 95 – 1,

The 'mother / stampers' are: ‘2 MM’ and ‘1 MD’.

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays very good+, each side plays with some 'ticks' and 'crackle'. The record plays with a full, powerful period 'stereo' sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in very good ++ condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
