BEATLES UK – HEY JUDE, EXPORT third pressing, mispress.

Export CPCS 106 – on the Apple record label.

A UK third pressing LP in 100% condition, featuring:

1. as this copy was made in the UK but for the export market, the catalogue reference on the records sleeve and labels are ‘CPCS 106’ and the matrix letters are ‘YEEX’,

2. an unusual feature of this sleeve is that the record catalogue reference as well as appearing on the spine it ALSO appears on the top edge of the sleeve !, a possible mispress !,

3. there are NO ‘mother’ stamps engraved onto the run off groove on side two,

4. the rear of the sleeve has been mispressed !, some of the songs on the listing appear in yellow ink !, there must have been a mix up with the colours when the sleeve was printed at the factory at EMI !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near MINT condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The sleeve has maintained its four MINT unscuffed corners. The spine is in excellent++ condition and all the text is clear to read on the spine. The unique Export catalogue reference of  ‘CPCS 106’ appears on the spine and on the top edge of the sleeve. There are NO tears, stains, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original EMI white sleeve with the text ‘Patent No. 1125555’. There are NO tears, stains, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve, an excellent well preserved sleeve.

THE VINYL: is in near MINT condition (under normal daylight conditions), it is made from the period ‘thick’, heavy vinyl, it has remained like new, very  dark clean and glossy.

The matrix are:   YEEX 150  1 and YEEX 151  1,

The mother / stampers are:    ‘ 2    R  D ’ and  ‘    ?      G  M ’,  NO ‘mother’ !.

THE AUDIO: is excellent, a near perfect audio, I didnt hear any faults at all on playback. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays like new, with NO jumps or sticking from the needle.

THE LABELS: are in near MINT condition and suggest a possible ONE play only !. The label on side one has a lighter green colour with a MATT finish. The labels are free from any pen writing and stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
