THE GIRL I LOVE~NEAR MINT~RARE~QUEST 101~BEATLES
A KILLER DOO WOP SOUND
B/W "For Yon Tunas Only". This is NOT the Fab Four. It is, however, an interesting -- and hard to find -- record. The name can't be a coincidence, since one of the composers is listed as "J. Lemmon". It was reportedly the work of Philadelphia radio and TV personality Jerry Blavat ("The Geator With The Heator"), which appears to be confirmed with the parody of Blavat's radio show (by "Jerry Blabber") on the B side. Visually graded Very Good +. The spirit in which this was produced is evident from some of the label credits: "The Girl I Love" is "A Miracle Production (If It Sells... It's A Miracle!)". The B side is "A Toilet Production. Please Flush After Playing" and lists the publisher as "Upforgrabs (BMI-ASCAP) Didn't Want It".
