Beautiful and Massively Rare Stunning Original 1968 U.K. Stereo 1st Pressing (1//2//1//1 Matrix!!!!) Double Album 'The Beatles (The White Album)' by The Beatles!!! Earliest Possible 1st Press w/ Dark Apple Labels Complete Embossed Top-Loading Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Sleeve, with All 4 Portraits, Original Poster, Original Black Die-Cut Inner Sleeves & Original White Spacer!!! One of The Best Examples of This Album You Will Ever See!!!

From my own pristine Nr Mint collection of rare 1960's & 70's Prog/Psych/Beat/Rock & Folk, you are bidding on one of the most sought -after UK 1st pressings of all time; the mega rare 1968 U.K. Stereo 1st pressing of The Beatles' most Controversial LP; the eponymous 'The Beatles' (but known to most as 'The White Album'.) This record split the critics like no other upon release.  However, there are two things that make this record super rare... Firstly, it is the earliest UK stereo 1st pressing in FULLY COMPLETE condition, right down to the white spacer used to divide the portraits. The second feature that sets this record apart from almost ALL others is its superior condition!!! When these records turn up nowadays they are usually in very poor condition, with numerous scratches and a dull worn sheen caused by the nasty mono needles of the 1960's.  To find one as pristine-looking as this with such a deep shine is very very, rare today, this has a beautiful deep shine with NO groovewear and just the occasional very light and very small hairline!!! This vinyl easily grades as Excellent Plus!!!

It has the correct 1st press Matrix endings of 1//2//1//1 and dark apple centre labels complete with all 4 original photos, massive original poster and both original BLACK die-cut inners and even the original white spacer!!!  - all 100% Complete and 100% original!!! Finding a complete UK 1st press copy in this condition today is virtually impossible!!! Cat number PCS 7067-8. All labels carry the 'Sold in UK' and 'Apple Records' rim texts. Of course, it is complete with its 1st press thickly laminated & top-loading Garrod & Lofthouse embossed gatefold sleeve and black die-cut inner sleeves which is also in superb Ex condition!!! There are very few pressings left in this condition today so don't miss this one!!! It's the original UK 1st pressing in Stereo in fully complete condition with ALL original components and is almost impossible to find today in this kind of condition!!! Don't miss this one!!!

As you'd expect, the cool 1st press dark apple centre labels are in STUNNING Ex+++ condition!!! There are NO Scribbles. NO lifting or Bubbling and NO unwanted writing of any kind to the centre labels - just the one or two light spindle and that it!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important 1st press matrix are Nr Mint!!! Most of these Apple 1st pressings were played to death in the 1960's & 70's and on the rare occasions they  turn up today it is usually full of scratches and gouges with a dull sheen and totally worn out. This one is NOT and the record stills retains a STUNNING just-pressed sheen, it has survived superbly and is certainly one of the BEST original stereo Apple copies I have EVER seen!!! The record just has one or two hairlines, which are waxy and purely superficial and in no way effect the playing if this superb record!!! The discs still retains ALL their original gloss and shine and have NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! There are NO pops, skips or jumps, just some low level static between tracks and during the quieter passages. It really is a beautiful looking example of this rare record, they just never turn up like this anymore!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!  Both discs must PROPERLY grade visually Excellent+!!! Believe me this record is NOT over-graded in ANY way!!! It is impossible to find UK 1st press copies of this record that look like this anymore!!!

The classic thickly laminated top-loading embossed Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold Sleeve is also ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL with NO Seam Wear, NO Seam Splits, virtually NO Ringwear, NO Rips/Tears/Nicks, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!!  It has VERY LITTLE of the yellow discolouration associated with the sleeve! This one retains a beautiful cream colouration!!!

The laminate is absolutely beautiful, there is NO Lifting, NO Creasing and NO Cracking (save some laminate cracking to the spine- unavoidable with this sleeve). The flipbacks are nice tight and shiny!!! The sleeve is is nice and stiff with a good thick strong spine and mint legible spine text, and folds out perfectly to reveal a stunning unblemished white laminated inner gatefold!!! This sleeve easily grades as Excellent!!! A superb example which is in no way over-graded!!!

The 4 heavy photos are all present and complete (not missing John or Paul like most copies!!!). They are in all in Nr Mint condition and look like they have hardly ever been removed from the sleeve. No pin holes etc. The lyric-printed poster also grades as Excellent, also no sign of it ever having been put on a wall etc.!!! The original die-cut black inners are in Superb Ex++ condition, with none of the common rips around the centre holes as is so common!!! COmese complete with original white spacer - -also in Ex++ condition!!! To recap: This is one of the very first pressings in stereo format, way back in 1968!!! They hardly ever show up today and when the do it is never with in this condition and fully complete right down to the white spacer like this one!!! An absolutely essential (and very rare) Pressing for any Beatles/ Classic Pop fan to to own!!! Don't miss this one!!!
