ARTIST: THE BEATLES
TITLE: SGT.PEPPER 'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
YEAR: 1967
CAT NO: PCS 7027
LABEL & COLOUR: PARLOPHONE 'YELLOW & BLACK'
COUNTRY: UK
MATRIX No’s: 1st PRESS ISSUE (-1 & -1)
Vinyl Condition: NM The Vinyl on both playing surfaces visually appear to be UNPLAYED virtually clear and UNMARKED with NO Evidence of any Scratches or other Markings that can be seen both sides are in Flawless and Exceptional condition the vinyl is completely free from any obvious surface marks or groove wear which is quiet Remarkable and Unbelievable considering this vinyl LP is 45 years old! On even closer examination under a strong halogen bulb with the disc tilted at an angle you can only then detect and reveals nothing more than a few insignificant mild faint wispy inner sleeve removal line traces that Absolutely doesn’t affect the virtually Perfect Audio Playback The vinyl lays totally flat on a moving turntable - Still retains its original deep gloss black shiny sheen and lustre - It would be near Impossible these days to find a better vinyl copy of this Record that plays without any problems! - It’s a Fantastic Example!!!
Please Note: This record has been stored away and not touched or cleaned for most of its 45 years it would obviously benefit from a professional clean before play as to reduce further any light static crackle that may be still present
AUDIO PLAYBACK ASSESSMENT: - SUPERB UNINTERRUPTED CRYSTAL CLEAR CLARITY AND POWER ON AUDIO PLAYBACK END TO END - Audio is Graded as EX-NM This vinyl visually looks like it’s barely been played and shows NO obvious marks or scratches and looks extremely well cared for and Near Perfect example - There are No major Clicks, pops, skips, jumps or repeats and shows No other annoying audio noise distortions during playback If I'm going to be Ultra Critical whilst listening through the playback you may get occasionally when the very quiet tracks begin to play or on the start of run ins and inbetween tracks and the very quieter elements of audio playback or if at all-you may get some very light static crackle for a few seconds and then it just fades away but absolutely nothing of any consequence on this 45 year old Classic that will spoil your overall enjoyment of this exceptional Iconic Classic Album - Overall it’s just a Fantastic listening Experience that you would expect from the VERY 1ST Stereo Pressing with Stunning crystal clear Dynamic strong Stereo Audio performance!!!
Cover Condition: NM An Original 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd fully laminated flipback gatefold sleeve cover - This superb Cover is just exceptional and an amazing example showing all its original Bold and Vibrant rich colours like its near on 'Perfect' – The inside of Gatefold when opened is MINT looks like New and has a creaking noise when opening (A sure sign that it was never opened very often) Totally intact with superb sharp straight edges and excellent pointed corners - The cover laminate outside and inside is amazing it looks to be virtually Unmarked - Flat crisp and incredibly clean and showing all its original bold pristine vivid colours across the front and back and inside of gatefold sleeve that look all virtually near Perfect – With NO noticeable edge or rub wear to be seen - I'm struggling to find any blemishes worthwhile to mention - If I look very closely and hard there is a little light rub wear on opening edge and a mild dark line blemish at the front top of cover(probably can be wiped off from the laminate)and that's it!!! And I do mean light! It’s not that noticeable (this doesn't in anyway detract from the overall exceptional and near mint condition of cover) and it probably would be very hard these days to find another one to better or improve on this cover!!!
Labels Condition: NM The original Parlophone labels are Visually Superb Unmarked and near perfect with hardly any evidence showing of Spindle usage marks or Trails showing across any of the Labels - Under strong light I can just see 2-3 faint light marks near the spindle hole the actual spindle hole still looks virtually untouched with no obvious wear - Going by the evidence showing It would be fair to assume it has barely had any audio play usage this record has only probably been played a handful of times between 3-5 plays and then copied to tape.
Spine Condition: EX The laminated spine overall is clean intact and near perfect - All written text still showing to be clear legible and perfectly worded with No signs of any wear showing
Card cut-outs: MINT Original 1st issue Cut-out which is in MINT as new condition has been housed inside the gatefold since album was purchased in 1967
Inner Sleeve: EX Original Red & White inner sleeve commonly known to as the Fool or Flame is Clean totally Intact with no tears or writing or other blemishes only shows a 3 inch split in the middle at the bottom of sleeve (which unfortunately seems to be a common occurrence on this particular thin paper sleeve)
The overall Brilliant Pristine condition of this Album is mainly due to the superb dry storage conditions and thick plastic cover protection on this LP Record over it's Lifetime!!!
Thanks for Looking and Happy Bidding!!!
