PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE COMPLETE original MAS-2653 Scranton gatefold PROMOTIONAL first pressing from 1967 in glorious mono on Capitol's rainbow/colorband label with rigid cardboard cut-out sheet, psychedelic red/white inner sleeve, no NEMS or Maclen credit in the bottom right hand corner on the rear cover, Mr. Kite has an exclamation point on the rear cover but not on the label, Good Morning has a comma on the rear cover but not on the label, Sgt Pepper's - Reprise has parenthesis on the rear cover but not on the label and the top right hand corner on the cover has FREE stenciled diagonally!!! Side 1 dead wax matrix reads MAS-1-2653-G2 #3 (3 is stamped, all else is etched) and side 2 reads MAS (stamped)-2-2653-F1 (etched) #5 (5 is stamped, # is etched). LP is a nice VG with a few very light scuffs. Cover is VG with no splits, no seams and some ring. Don't sleep Fab collectors. Complete mono 1st promotional pressings are exceedingly rare.
