I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Fair / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
THE BEATLES.
RUBBER SOUL.
ORIGINAL UK PARLOPHONE STEREO LP PCS 3075.
Strictly graded Stereo first pressing of this classic LP.
The Cover / VG- condition. I graded the cover VG- due to it having a three inch seam split as seen in the pictures. The cover has some normal storage age wear but still looks presentable. This is a Garrod and Lofthouse cover.
The Record / VG- condition. I graded the record as VG- due to it having light marks and surface wear under halogen bulb. The record still has a decent original gloss and doesn't have any really deep marks that stop play.
Matrix Numbers: YEX 178-2, YEX 179-2
Labels / VG condition. The labels do not have any tears or writing but do display a fair amount of spindle marks.
The Inner / VG condition. Original EMETEX inner sleeve.
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
