Description

  THE BEATLES - RUBBER SOUL   "LOUD CUT"  - MONO FIRST PRESS!   XEX 579 -1/580 -1 2LT/1HG STAMPERS   Year:1965  Cat:PMC 1267

  • On offer here is a fine sounding copy of the sought after loud press which was repressed shortly after release.
  • The iconic laminated triple flipback Garrod & Lofthouse cardboard sleeve is in great condition. The highly reflective front cover is flat and unmarked.  When angled under strong light there is only one tiny thumb wrinkle and a couple wrinkles next to the spine. The sleeve opening has only a touch of feathering where the laminate ends.  The spine and both top and bottom edges are superbly intact with no signs of wear at all! The rear of the sleeve is very clean with no laminate grubbiness at all. The name Beverley is neatly written at top left but does not detract. from the overall quality. Critically Graded EX
  • This copy has a plain diecut inner which may not be original and will be packed in a new polylined inner.
  • The thick vinyl has great gloss with the earliest matrix clearly visible. Under strong light Side 1 has just three light marks with Side 2 being virtually unmarked. Visually graded EX. The yellow/black labels have a few spindle trails but no spindle wear. Please note "Bev" is written in faint blue ink on the £ logo. Side 1 has the embossed KT tax code as well as the "Sold in UK" text. When played the mono sound is superb with the loud cut very evident. The album played great from start to finish with no noise, even in quiet passge when the music is playing. Any low level noise is confined to the leadins and between tracks.  Playgraded EX.
  • The many  photos should show enough detail but please contact me if any more information is needed on this great copy.

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

+ or - indicates a grading in between categories
