Description
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Beatles called 'Revolver' and is a MEGA RARE MONO UK 1966 1st pressing on the 1st Press Yellow & Black Parlophone label!!!! THIS LP IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AND SERIOUSLY RARE!!!! THIS IS THE MEGA RARE 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP WITH THE 'XEX-606-1' SIDE 2 MATRIX WHICH PLAYS THE WRONG MIX OF 'TOMMORROW NEVER KNOWS' (CHANGED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS)!!!! THIS WAS CHANGED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER THIS LP WAS 1ST PRESSED - AND TODAY IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! AND FOR ME THIS ULTRA 606-1 MIX (KNOWN AS REMIX 11) SOUNDS FAR BETTER THAN THE STANDARD VERSION!!!! FOR THOSE THAT DONT KNOW THE MIX DIFFERENCES - THE MOST OBVIOUS DIFFERENCES ARE THAT THE 'SEAGULL' TYPE EFFECTS ARE FAR MORE PROMINENT ON THIS RARE MIX, AND THE 'PIANO' ENDING IS ALSO LONGER, AS WELL AS OTHER MORE SUBTLE DIFFERENCES. BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL IS THAT FOR ONCE IT IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!! MOST 606-1 1ST PRESSINGS WERE PLAYED TO DEATH - AND OFTEN TURN UP IN TERRIBLE CONDITION. BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!! THIS LP HAS A BRILLIANT CONDITIONED RECORD & COVER AND THIS IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!! THIS IS THE 1966 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS YELLOW & BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL, 'DR ROBERT' CREDIT ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL, 1ST PRESS GARROD & LOFTHOUSE 'PATENTS PENDING' FLIPBACK LAMINATED MONO COVER, 'THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT, 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT, AND A 1ST PRESS 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL UK MONO 1st pressing from 1966 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are XEX 605-2 & YEX 606-1. The Cat. No is PMC 7009 on the ORIGINAL Yellow & Black Parlophone label (see picture) and is a 1966 MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 3 or 4 hairlines, only 2 or 3 light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! HOWEVER what is REALLY impressive is that ALL of the above is only visible under light and the vinyl gives a SUPERB impression - being black glossy and retaining a STUNNING shine!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO pops (apart 2 or 3 right at the VERY beginning of 'Good Day Sunshine'), only a VERY few isolated clicks, NO sticking, NO jumps, only the VERY slightest touches of VERY low level background crackle in a VERY few places, and only some INCREDIBLY low level background sound on the occassional gap and run on grooves - NOT in the music!!!! It is important to note that the all important track 'Tommorrow Never Knows' (with different mix) plays SUPERBLY!!!! There is NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 'Patents Applied For' 1st Press plain white inner sleeve!!!! The Original 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Laminated Flipback MONO Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few light creases (cover is still VERY flat looking), shiny laminate and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, NO rubbing, and only VERY slight yellowing to the flipbacks!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND AS A 606-1 1ST PRESSING AND SERIOUSLY RARE!!!! THE MOST IMPORTANT TRACK 'TOMMORROW NEVER KNOWS' PLAYS SUPERBLY AND THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!!
