Description
Up for auction is a mono UK 2nd pressing of Revolver, in overall excellent (-) condition.
This second pressing followed the short run 1st pressing (605-2 & 606-1) of Revolver that had the wrong mix of “Tomorrow Never Knows”. This second pressing is the first with the correct mix of “Tomorrow Never Knows”. In the haste to correct the 1st pressing, this second pressing was released with the song “Dr. Robert” mispelt as “Doctor Robert” on the label.
Cat. No. PMC 7009. Matrix No: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-2. Stamper codes: G/RLM & G/RLD. This is a MONO UK 2nd pressing on Yellow & Black Parlophone labels, with “Sold in the UK” text, a KT tax code, and the “Gramophone Company” edge text. The label has Dr. Robert mispelt as Doctor Robert. Another detail is this label version is printed in the rarer Sans Serif typeface.
The G & L cover is in excellent condition, a very strong and beautiful cover. There is no edge wear, no spine wear, no corner wear. The laminated front cover is beautiful, highly glossy with no glazing and no ring wear or ring impression, and retains the strong black & white colors with no yellowing. There are some light creases on front cover, on the edge areas. The back cover is also beautiful, with no rubbing or marks or wear, with only a very few minor creases.
Note the original “Patents” inner sleeve is missing and instead it has an Emitex inner sleeve in very good (+) condition.
The vinyl is properly rated at VG (+) condition, with light hairlines and paper scuffing visible mostly under direct sunlight. It looks very nice under normal lighting.
The labels are in excellent condition with only faint and small spindle marks and perfect spindle holes.
This copy plays VG (+) and close to excellent (-), with typical light crackling and static, and some light clicks and pops, and with no jumps or nasty pops. A strong and nice playing copy.

Unfortunately international shipping is too risky, expensive and frustrating for sellers and buyers as insurance is limited or unavailable and very expensive for the seller, the paperwork is tiresome for the seller, customs fees & taxes for buyers can be exorbitant, items can be held in customs for several weeks if not longer, and payment is held by Paypal for at least several weeks.
