This auction is for a rare 2nd pressing of the Beatles LP 'A Hard Day's Night' on the yellow / black Parlophone label.

This is the harder to find mono 2nd pressing that has 'Gramophone' starting the rimtext along with the small 'Mono' on the front cover. This style of LP and cover was issued around about the '65 - '66 time. The black inner sleeve and the 'Patents Pending' mark on the overflap on the back cover further suggests this.

The original 1st pressing with Parlophone rimtext and large Mono sleeve are everywhere. These 2nd presses are harder to come by!.

The cover is looking good for its age. The front cover has its nice, rich blue colour to it. The top bar has slightly yellowed and there's some light creasing around the edges. The top and bottom seams have a couple of little laminate creases running through them, but are both holding tightly with no splits or wear. The spine, again, has a couple of little laminate creases but is whole with no wear, splits or anything, is uncrushed and fully legible. The back cover has yellowed slightly and has a couple of little, light spots, but overall is looking pretty clean. '32/6' has been pencilled in at the top. Overall, decent sleeve!   Inner Sleeve : VG

The inner sleeve has no splits or tears, but has a little wear at the opening and has yellowed a little. The records catalogue number has been written in pen at the top right of one side.   Disc : G+/VG-

The playing surface has a pretty good shine to it but has a fair amount of light scuffing along with some slightly heavier looking scuffs. There's a heavier mark to the right through side 1, as you can see in the photo, but this is unfeelable under the finger.

Labels : EX+/NM-

The labels are clean, crisp and clear with bright, silver text and no writing, stickers etc. There's some light spindlewear and a little, light whitening around each hole, but nothing at all intrusive. Very, very nice labels!.

Due to problems in the past where numerous untracked records I've sent out have 'mysteriously disappeared', I only send records out fully tracked and only to your verified PayPal postal address to comply with eBay and PayPal seller protection policy. Because of this, please don't ask me to dispatch the record to a different address to the one you have listed on PayPal as I will not do this.

The P+P costs given on each auction are for that auction only. If you win more than one auction please wait until I've sent you out an amended invoice to combine postage.
