Splendid copy of this first pressing MONO album on the UK Parlophone label, PMC 7009
THE VERY RARE FIRST PRESSING WITH THE 606-1 MATRIX AND THE FIRST MIX OF TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS
According to certain sources this is the “loud cut” earliest version, withdrawn within a few days after release. It also seems that this mix for TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS was replaced in all pressings after this one. So this is definitely a must-have item for the true collector. (The difference I certainly hear in Tomorrow Never Knows is at the end, when the piano playing continues for a few seconds longer.)
Label says DR. ROBERT, instead of DOCTOR ROBERT, as in later pressings, another reason why this copy is
Matrix numbers:
side 1: XEX 605 -2
side 2: XEX 606 -1
Condition vinyl EX, (one curly scuff on side 2, visible, but practically inaudible). Hardly any spindle marks. The record has obviously been very well looked after over the years.
Sleeve is NM, with only a very slight yellowish discolouring on front (can you see it on the scan? Spine very good. PRINTED BY ERNEST J. DAY & CO. LTD.
