1966 UK *STERE* PRESSING* LP


This outstanding 1966 UK  STEREO pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 7009

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 1 centre hole.


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse ' patents pending printed 'mid-sized' stereo logo cover.

Complete with its original white inner .


Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1  YEX 606-1

Stamper codes: 1/AD & 2/RP

A fine set with clean & unblemished text and only a small collection of light spindle trails to the side 1 centre hole and maybe 1 or 2 to side 2

Visual: NEAR MINT

Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which when viewed in strong daylight display and look  perfect. Close & careful inspection directly beneath halogen desk lamp reveals absolutely nothing more than a healthy sparking rainbow gloss without any further marks or wear anywhere. this 1st-class copy lies 100% flat on the turntable with no traces of dishing or warping either side.

Play: NEAR MINT

Outstanding sound quality throughout this cherished early copy. My careful play-check at volume could find no evidence of any groove/play wear distortion on any track or indeed any background noise/crackle. Both run-ins and all bands play without any trace of interference and there are no clicks, pops, tics or indeed any audible blemishes anywhere. Tough to find a better sounding copy of this pressing.

A splendid example of this rare cover which retains a bright, clean & undamaged front panel no creases perfect spine.Rear panel almost perfect small mark but this looks like a pressing fault can be seen on picture ,flipback are perfect. Pinched spine one of the cleanest sleeves I have seen near perfect.
