Description

Ringo Starr "Goodnight Vienna" LP (Apple/Capitol 3417; stereo). This 1974 LP by the former Beatle features an all-star list of guest artists, including John Lennon, Elton John, Harry Nilsson, Billy Preston, Robbie Robertson, Steve Cropper and others. It is an original pressing in Mint-condition. The cover, which is still in shrink wrap and which features Ringo posing as the alien in a scene from the 1951 science fiction movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still," is also in Mint- condition. It comes with a 9x12 inch Apple/Capitol Records publicity folder, with a color picture of Ringo as the alien on the front, that contains SEVEN (7) 8x10 inch publicity photos --- two of Ringo, one of a scene from the 1951 movie and four about construction of a larger-than-life replica of the alien that was placed atop the Capitol tower in Hollywood to promore the LP. Also included are two separate record company news releases about the LP and the concept of the cover. Winner pays $3 for Media Mail or $6 for Priority postage in the U.S. Postage is $7 for airmail to Canada or surface mail to Europe; $12 for airmail to Europe; $8 for surface mail or $13 for airmail to Asia. Insurance is an optional $1.30 extra in the U.S. if the item sells for $50 or less.
